Thank you for visiting my website. I am Janice Flinner, and as a certified Life-Cycle Celebrant™ I’ve had rigorous training in crafting ceremonies and using ritual through the Celebrant Foundation & Institute™. I abide by a code of ethics and have a non-discrimination policy. I am ordained by a non-denominational church to officiate marriages in Illinois. My background is in English literature and professional counseling, and I love a good story!
Creating the ceremony of your dreams is a collaborative process that starts with my listening to learn what is most important to you in your ceremony. Is this an interfaith or multicultural union? Do you prefer a traditional or more off-beat ceremony? Your story will be crafted and told with passion and punctuated by the rituals you choose. You will have total control over your ceremony.
As Your Wedding Celebrant I Will:
- Get to know you both in person and via comprehensive questionnaire
- Provide unlimited consultation via email
- Craft your ceremony with your input and ultimate final approval
- Provide ceremony cue sheets to your wedding party, wedding planner, DJ, photographer/videographer, and other necessary parties
- Officiate at your ceremony
- Sign the marriage license and return it to your county clerk
- Present you with a beautiful keepsake copy of your ceremony
Other Services
Ceremony is important to all important events in our life. In addition to weddings, I am available for funerals, memorials, pet loss, family celebrations, and other rites of passage such as retirements, moving on from divorce, moving to a new home, and celebrating your status as a wise elder.
